Amazing discoveries

Few days ago, the BBC released a new about some incredible discoveries at the works for widening the Panama Canal. These discoveries (fossils of animals that went extinct millions of years ago) are quickly "rescued" by a team of scientist that are working in a hurry. Despite its small size, the isthmus of Panama was very important for an event they called "the Great American Interchange", when the animals of two continents (North and South America) freely mixed... including birds. You can read the entire note HERE.Can you imagine a group of Terror Birds hunting tiny horses in what we now call central Panama?
